I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly happening.
